Design from scratch

No tracking. No banner.

Just the essential cookies and storage keyfab needs to work. Nothing else.

What keyfab keeps

That is the service itself: keyfab keeps them so you can use it.

What keyfab does not do

The one cookie, and your browser's storage

keyfab sets one cookie, session, when you sign in. It is signed so it cannot be forged, says which account is signed in, and lasts up to two weeks. While you sign in it also carries a one-time check that the sign-in you come back from is the one you started. It is strictly necessary, which is why there is no banner.

Two things stay in your browser's storage and are never sent to keyfab as they are:

Payments

You pay on Stripe's own checkout page. Stripe holds your card details; keyfab never sees them. keyfab is told only whether a payment succeeded, and its reference.

Signing in

Sign-in is handled by WorkOS, which confirms who you are and tells keyfab your email address; keyfab never keeps a password.

Makers' sites

The making guide links to manufacturers and suppliers. Their sites are their own, with their own policies.
